갈비찜; Galbijjim; Braised beef short ribs


Typically eaten during traditional festivals such as Chuseok (추석) and Seollal (설날), this cuisine is made of beef short ribs. Soy sauce Ganjang (간장), sesame oil, scallions, garlic, pepper, rice wine, sesame oil, ginger, honey and sugar are used to braise the meat on a mid-flame. Chestnuts, potatoes and mushrooms may also be added. It is a favorite due to its tender, sweet and succulent flavor.
